The Copper Mill Golf Club is very proud of the many awards and honorary designations it received since its opening. They don’t only increase its prestige in the eyes of golfers but they also stand as proof of the Golf Club’s dedication to excellence and commitment to continuous improvement.
Listed below is a selection of some of the most prestigious awards and honorary designations the Copper Mill Golf Club has received to date:
Inclusion on Golf Digest’s list of “Best New Affordable Public Courses in America” in 2004. This was a huge recognition for the Golf Club and a confirmation that it’s on the right track. The list of “Best New Affordable Public Courses in America” has been issued annually by the Golf Digest magazine since 1983 with an aim to honour the best new public golf courses in the United States.
Inclusion on Golf Digest’s list of “Best Courses in the State of Louisiana” in 2005. One year after its opening, the Copper Mill Golf Club was also declared one of the “Best Courses in the State”, making it to the oldest and most prestigious ranking of the Golf Digest magazine. The “Best Courses” are selected by the leading golf experts in the country and being one of them is considered a synonym for excellence since the introduction of the designation in the mid-1960s.
Golf Digest’s Architecture Award in 2007-08. The Copper Mill Golf Club is also a proud recipient of the Architecture Award, one of Golf Digest magazine’s most prestigious awards and one of the highest recognitions for design. In addition to honouring the Golf Course, this award also gives recognition to the Course’s designers Max Maxwell and Nathan Crace.
In addition to the mentioned awards and titles, the Copper Mill Golf Club is also consistently ranked as one of Louisiana’s very finest golf courses and received a four star rating in the category “Best Places to Play”.
